DIVYANGJAN CELL (DIFFERENTLY ABLED WELFARE CELL)
S.S.P Shikshan Sanstha’s S.S Law College, Dapodi, Pune has set up the Divyangjan Cell (Differently Abled Welfare Cell) Under the provisions of Section 16 And Section 19 Of Rights Of Persons With Disabilities Act, 2016 with an aim of providing a conducive learning environment to the Divyan Jan Students at the institution. The Cell has made it its priority to ensure that the Divyangjan students have equal access to all activities within the institution.
The Divyang Jan Cell strives to determine the needs of the differently abled students and implement mechanisms that can facilitate their access to learning processes. The Cell also collaborates with faculty and administration within the institution to sensitize the campus on the issues of Divyangjan students.
Purpose and Objective of Divyangjan Cell
- For inclusive education and providing equal opportunity for learning to Divyangjan students.
- For providing academic assistance and administration as well as examination accommodations according to the rules and regulations of the university and statutory body.
- For making the campus barrier free with appropriate infrastructural facilities.
- For creating awareness and sensitivity regarding the rights of disability among the students, faculty, and administration.
- For handling complaints of differently abled students in an empathic way.
- For active involvement of Divyangjan students in extra-curricular activities.
